We are constantly striving to make Lions Bear Lake Camp an enjoyable experience and improve in everything we do.

Spring Work Bee is scheduled for May 11th, 2024

Introduction: Nestled within 120 acres of pristine nature, Lions Bear Lake Camp has been a haven for over 10,000 campers and visitors since its inception in July 2000. The camp's mission, deeply rooted in fostering leadership skills and building confidence, is made possible through the unwavering support of the Lions, Leos, foundation grants, and individual donors throughout Michigan. One remarkable event that exemplifies the spirit of community and service at Lions Bear Lake Camp is the annual "Workbee."

What is Lions Bear Lake Camp Workbee? The Lions Bear Lake Camp Workbee is a collaborative effort that brings together volunteers from various community service groups, Lions, Leos, and Individuals.  This event is a testament to the camp's commitment to providing premier outdoor educational and recreational experiences to all, regardless of ability. The term "Workbee" encapsulates the collective energy and enthusiasm poured into enhancing the camp's facilities and ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone.

Purpose and Impact: The primary purpose of the Lions Bear Lake Camp Workbee is to engage the community in hands-on activities that contribute to the upkeep and improvement of the camp's infrastructure. Volunteers dedicate their time and effort to tasks such as maintaining nature trails, renovating cabins, and enhancing outdoor spaces. This collective endeavor not only strengthens the sense of community but also plays a crucial role in ensuring that the camp remains a safe, accessible, and enjoyable space for all who visit.
