Facilities

Lions Bear Lake Camp encompasses 120 acreas of nature, trails, wildlife and so much more!

On campus we have 10 cabins, with 8 bunk beds, which can accommodate 160 sleeping guests all year round.

We also have additional spaces for tenting and outdoor sleeping.

Our Dining Hall can accomodate 250 people for dining, conferences, meetings, events, etc.

Other accomodations on campus include our Activity Center, Nature Center, Art Center, Universally Accessible Dock and lake area, Universally Accessible Low Ropes Course and Climbing Tower and our large football field sized outdoor area.

With different residential settings, activity possibilities, meal plans and more, each guest group is approached uniquely when it comes to putting together the package that best suits.

Our activity center is a multi purpose building. It also has bathrooms, laundry area, and accessible outdoor campfire area.

Shelby Township Lions Lodge/Dining Hall

Is a large, multi-purpose building that has a total capacity of 250 persons. The large dining hall area can be divided  in two spaces to provide both a meeting area and a dining area. Highlights of the Lodge are high ceilings, air conditioning, multiple types of tables, either cafeteria or buffet food service.

Nature Center

 

The Nature Center and hiking trail at Bear Lake Camp provides an opportunity for our campers to develop an awareness and an appreciation for the plants and animals that live here. It’s a hands-on program that encourages our campers to use their senses to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells in our environment. We have many displays a one-way viewing window, an herb garden and a peaceful walking trail around the lake. The Nature Center program offers a fun, educational experience for all our campers.

 

 

Universally Accessible Play Area

This play area is accessible for all.  Picnic tables and benches surround the area. 

 

 

 

Tent Camping Area

 

This area provides a comfortable rustic area to put up your tents, while having a modern bath house, pavilion and camp fire area.  The bath house has  a 3 compartment sink area on the outside for washing dishes. The bath house has sinks, toilet and showers for both males and females. All this for very reasonable rates. Contact Us


Trails

All walkways around the main camp area have hard surfaces. 
We have 1.5 mile hard surface trail that is wheelchair accessible as
well as some more rustic trails that wander the camps diverse habitats.
